Did you know that God rejoices over us with dancing and singing? The phrase "rejoice over you" in this verse literally means "dance, skip, leap, and spin around in joy." Not only is God all-powerful and mighty to save, but God rejoices over us! The moment we surrender our hearts to God and believe that the blood of Jesus that He shed on the cross covers all our sins, that is when God spins around with joy, dancing, and singing because a lost child has been found. It doesn't matter if you aren't perfect. It doesn't matter how many mistakes you have made. What matters is that you believe that He is God and that you have surrendered to Him with all your heart, your soul, your strength, and your mind. Our Father does not wait for us to leave our earthly abode to begin the songs. He is already rejoicing over you! When you feel down or discouraged, remember that God is cheering for you. He is in the midst of what you are going through, and He is stronger than any challenge you may face. And because of that, we can rest in Him. Only in God can we truly find peace and rest.
Dear Heavenly Father, thank You for sending Jesus to pay the ultimate price for my sins. Your love is always there for me, even when I don't feel worthy of it or when I feel inadequate. Help me to never forget how loved I am. Thank You for being with me through the highs and lows of my life. Help me to surrender all my plans to You and seek Your will in everything I do. In Jesus's name I pray. Amen.
